Image is more than color. It is tone, texture, mood, contrast — the subtle dialogue between light and shadow
To celebrate our third year of showcasing photography, Photo Artfolio invites photographers worldwide to submit work for a special online exhibit honoring the power and poetry of black & white imagery.
As a one-time thank-you to our growing community, each artist may submit one image free of charge — a gesture of appreciation marking this milestone. Additional images may be entered for $10 each.
In a world saturated with color, black & white photography stands apart: it strips away distraction and invites us to see the essence — the line, the gesture, the moment.
What does black & white reveal in your work?
A silent narrative.
A timeless presence.
An emotion laid bare.
We seek images that transform light and shadow into poetry — where contrast and tone uncover the essence of the scene.
Submissions are open to all forms of photography, including documentary, fine art, landscape, portraiture, street, conceptual, and beyond. AI-generated imagery is not eligible for consideration.
The top three images will receive awards of 1st Place: $500, 2nd Place: $350, and 3rd Place: $150, respectively.
CALENDAR: All images must be submitted by Monday, January 5th, 2026, at midnight MST. Photographers will receive notification of acceptance by Tuesday, January 27th, 2026, when our online exhibit opens.
AWARDS: All accepted pieces will be displayed in our online gallery at www.photo-artfolio.com. First Place: $500, Second Place: $350, Third Place $150.
